- Engineered Solution. Developed and rigorously tested to perform on standard operating belt tensions.
- On-Site Availability. Having the FXC™ at your facility makes repairs quick and convenient to avoid extended downtime.
- Quick Installation. This product was engineered to allow any team to get a steel cord belt back into operation in as little as half of a workday.
- Durable. High quality components designed to ensure strong performance while awaiting vulcanization.
- Pre-Splice Capability. The FXC™ Steel Cord Belt Fastening System can be prepared ahead of time on a new roll of belt for minimizing downtime.
Because there are many different steel cord belt constructions, a data sheet is used to collect information so a custom splice kit can be made for a specific belt. See below to learn what information contributes to your splice kit build.
- Belt Rating: (ST500 to ST2500)
- Cord Diameter (2.5mm to 7.0mm)
- Cord Pitch (11mm to 23mm)
- Total Number of Cords
- Belt Width (No Width Restrictions)

Temporary splices must be covered with a self leveling liquid urethane to prevent material sifting when in operation. Cover material available from Flexco upon request.
*Temporary Splice Note: For belts thinner than the splice, grade the cover material for a smooth transition from belt to splice. Reduce cleaner tension/drop the cleaner in cases where the belt thickness exceeds the splice thickness in Column E.
**Belt Pull Note: This splice does not require covering and should not be conveying material. Therefore belt thickness is not a restriction.
***Cord pitch greater than 20mm or cord diameter greater than 6.8mm requires 31.4mm splice thickness.
